Spirit lakes Musky Tournament Rules

1.       One team per boat. Two anglers per team.

2.       Starting time will be immediately after registration is completed. Registration is from 5:00 am Sept 17th to 7:00 am, no registration after 7:00 am. It will be a shotgun start. End time will be 3:00 pm SHARP No exceptions.

3.       All contestants must have a net capable of holding a musky in the water until the spotter boat tells them otherwise.

4.       Should a fish die, the contestant that caught the fish is finished fishing for the day. He/she may assist in netting there partners fish. Any dead fish will be turned over to the spotter boats.

5.       Docking will only be allowed at the main boat landing on little spirit lake no exceptions.

6.       No live or dead bait is permitted

7.       Only registered contestants may fish or help fish.

8.       When a Musky is caught, keep them in the water do not attempt to take the fish out of the water until the spotter boat tells you otherwise. The spotter boat will do all measurements and weighing of muskies. No fishing can be done until the fish is successfully released. The spotters will tell you when to go back to fishing.

9.       At no time are any two contestant boats allowed within 100’ of each other unless by mutual consent.

10.   Anyone caught cheating will be immediately disqualified and will forfeit they’re entry fees.  The judgement call on cheating is at the discretion of the tournament staff. All decisions of the tournament staff are final.

11.   Prizes will depend on the amount of entries.
