2017 Jim Poirier Memorial Kids Fishing Day Spirit Lakes Improvement Association
Saturday, July 8, 2017
Jim Poirier was a long time SLIA board member and played a major role in organizing the Kids Panfishing Day each year from its inception in 2002 through 2015. With Jim’s passing in 2016, it was highly appropriate that the SLIA rename the event the Jim Poirier Memorial Kids Fishing Day.
The Jim Poirier Memorial Kids Fishing Day 2017 is in the books! We were blessed with perfect weather and wonderful families having a blast together. The children were polite and full of energy-the absolute best! Thank you to all the volunteers that made the day possible and enjoyable.
Thank you to the Jim Poirier Family for the awesome T-shirts! Photo courtesy of Jim' Poiirier’s daughter Samantha Blasel.

Message from the SLIA Board
The SLIA board would like to thank all the volunteers and sponsors that helped with another very successful Jim Poirer Memorial Kids Fishing Day this past Saturday. We couldn’t do it without you. Also thanks to everyone that brought their kids/grand kids to enjoy fishing, games and raffles in the awesome weather we had.
Thanks again to everyone and hope to see you again at next year’s event.
A special thanks to board member Joe Wojcik and his wife Nancy for spending a lot of their time organizing such a great event!
