2018 Jim Poirier Memorial Kids Fishing Day Spirit Lakes Improvement Association
Saturday, July 14, 2018
Jim Poirier was a long time SLIA board member and played a major role in organizing the Kids Panfishing Day each year from its inception in 2002 through 2015. With Jim’s passing in 2016, it was highly appropriate that the SLIA rename the event the Jim Poirier Memorial Kids Fishing Day.
For this year's contest there were 65 kids registered and 55 fish registered.
Thank you to the following local merchants and clubs for their generous donations to make this a special day for kids and helping to keep our youth involved in the outdoors: TAYLOR COUNTY SPORTSMAN CLUB RIB LAKE FISH & GAME FUR, FIN & FEATHER (F3) ABBOTSFORD BLACK RIVER TRANSPORT J&P AUTO CLINIC RANDY THUMS TRUCKING RIB LAKE TRUE VALUE WALMART MERTENS GARAGE MARATHON CHEESE PRICE ELECTRIC FAT MAN'S BARBEQUE SAUCE
