Spirit Lakes Improvement Association (SLIA) had their annual meeting Memorial Day weekend. Election of officers and board members was held. We welcome Trent Weik and Joe Pintarro to the board. Thank you for deciding to volunteer your time to SLIA. Also, thank you to Jim Miller and Dennis Strunk for their past services on the board. It was greatly appreciated. At this meeting SLIA drew a winner for our first board raffle. The winners were Roger Z and Vic R. As explained at the meeting we cannot advertise the board raffle on any web page per gaming rules. We are sorry for this inconvenience. We are in the process of setting up another board. You can contact myself or any other officer or board member what and where the next board is.

Spirit Lakes Improvement Association (SLIA) will have it's annual meeting on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the boat landing shelter. We are having elections for all officers and a few board members. We are looking for the SLIA members ideas for raising money to help offset all our costs. One of the new ideas the board has decided to try is a raffle drawing. We will sell 50 tickets. The costs depends on what we raffle. It is against state rules to advertise any raffles on the internet. So, you will either need to come to a meeting, event or get in touch with one of the officers or board members. SLIA does have one raffle board out and about now. It will be at the annual meeting. If the raffle board is full at the meeting, we will draw that day. SLIA would like our members voice on what they would like to see us do. We hope to see you all at the meeting. And, remember you DO NOT have to own lake property to be a member of SLIA.
I live on Little Spirit Lake... and the ice went out in front of my place some time yesterday.... Yea.... spring is around the corner!

Spirit Lakes Improvement Association’s 2017 Ice Fishing Jamboree is in the books. We had very nice weather this year. The SLIA would like to thank EVERYONE for a successful event. There are too many to thank personally. Just know we appreciate all the support. The money from any of our events helps with the cost of the walleye stocking, running the aerators on both lakes during the winter, conducting our summer kid’s fishing contest and maintaining the boat landing. Annual membership dues also help offset these costs. I want to emphasize you do NOT have to own land on the lake to be a member of our organization. We welcome EVERYONE!
